October 2011 Gratitude List

Almost a year ago, I nearly died. My life was shattered in a million pieces, and it had been for two and a half years. I never thought that within a years time, I would still be here, let alone living in joy and/or helping others through what I have gone through. To God be the glory, great things He has done.

Had I died, here is what I would have missed:

• Meeting two new grandchildren
• Helping people who have suffered in the same way that I have
• Leading Bible study
• New special friendships
• Hope fulfilled in returning to wellness
• Deepening relationships with old friends
• My son Jake's high school graduation (a huge deal)
• Being able to advocate for the mentally ill in my county
• Writing and publishing things that I care about
• Saying goodbye to a few who would fly away
• Praying for friends and family who were suffering

The list could go on and on. Suffice it to say, these are all the things I have placed on my October gratitude list.
